Well we got up late this morning , Kids tore up the flashlights, I lost my good gloves and on the way out I lost a contact.....However, we rushed to get there, brought the bigger flashlights, threw in a new contact and made it to the stands before daylight..Don't u just love those mornings....lolThe day actually ended up pretty nice even though it was freakin COLD this AM!!!!! As soon as I got up there I had a doe under me....just got done getting the safety strap connected and there she was....it was a little too dark for that shot but still was nice to see one so early right under me...Then here come another behind me.......this time I was ready stood up, turned around slowly, waited until she turned her head, drew back and bam she was gone....I thought my hunt was over then so I sat down and relaxed ( texted a few lol) then here come another....and another....but the shots weren't there..B almost had a shot on that one he said but there was some brush in the way...I was just glad he was seeing deer as well...We finally decided to get down....B met me at my stand so we could walk out together...we didn't get to far and poof here's a deer that popped up and ran right in front of us...We of course stopped right in our tracks to watch her...she also stopped to watch us for a sec then went hoppin along....Even though we didn't get anything......today still ended up to be a good hunt for us, I don't know how to explain that but it was!!!! Here's a pic of me this am from da phone! lol

Gosh, looks like I somehow forgot to blog in April...lolWe had a ton of things going on and wasn't home for alot of it...Im gonna try to get caught up now!!

Actually had a chance to do a little fishing yest and got to catch my first bass of 08!

BLOOMINGTON!

We ended up and went to the bloomington deer and turkey classic this year........They also had a photo contest and I entered that as well. We had a blast there.......lots of nice outdoor items that can make you run out of money really fast..lol....

I ended up and placed 1st on my mushroom shot here......It's kinda neat because that was my first print contest I ever entered.....

I got to meet several new folkz that are on silo and really enjoyed talking with them......Can't wait until next year.....

Collinsville Deer Expo and Saint Louis!

Attending the collinsville deer expo and got to meet several silo folkz..... It was a nice little expo, kids had a blast and I got a new camo photo bag so I was all excited....lol

Cliff's Photo Shoot!

Well I was suppose to leave to meet Cliff at 7:30-8:00 to do a photo shoot with him at Ferne Clyffe..Upon waking up I noticed the neighbor's dog floating by the window.....lol....Not really but man was it pouring outside. :( So we cancelled...then guess what? It cleared..lol....So a little later we ended up and met anyway and headed off to FERNE CLYFFE! I ended up and rode with him in his cute little hybrid and on the way there it started rainning! Oh no, not again I thought, but by the time we got there it quit..YAY! It was actually pretty nice outside and we were the only ones in the park for a while...Because of the delay we were kinda rushed to get finished, but I still got several shots and most important we had a good time. After all Im used to being rushed! Just as we were walking back to the car it started rainning again....We timed that just right.....lol....oh and we even got to see a rainbow on the way home that ended at Cliff's house....ROFL.......Thanks C for a fun day of shooting.....:D
